There never was and never will be such a thing as the perfect poker strategy. The reason is due to what represents a poker strategy that is even possible will be different from one game and player to the other. Depending on where, who you play with and what you’re playing for, the appropriate strategy could be completely different in every situation.

Which is precisely why you should never follow anyone who tries to guide you that X or Y poker strategy is the wrong or right way to go. When to raise or fold, when to go all in or draw and the like – all the kinds of judgment that must be made depend on what is happening at the time. And that’s why those who remained rigidly follow one poker strategy or rule of any kind will likely never make any particularly strong progress.

To increase the poker rankings, you need to be flexible and dynamic.

Millions of poker players all around the world would consider themselves as relatively cautious. As such, these are also the types of poker players who would most likely call the idea of going all in as relatively reckless. Interestingly despite that, refusing to go all in at a time when it makes sense with the possibility of winning big prize, can be an even worse decision.

The important thing to remember is that as online poker continues to increase the popularity of the game in general on an international stage, players are growing to be more and more aggressive all the time. Which also means that passive and cautious players can become more massacred. Now more than ever, the art of understanding when to go all in is one of the most powerful weapons any player can take to the table.

That said, you need to be extremely cautious in terms of exactly how, when and how frequently you should go for it. The reason is that going all in at random is the kind of huge mistake that will quickly be picked up on by at least one of players around you. After which, it will usually only be a matter of seconds before they staple you and drain out your money dry.
